The Photographic Society of South Africa had their annual congress at Struisbaai, which is basically on the most southern tip of Africa.
There where over 200 delegates and the morning were taken up by lecturers from around the world. This gave you a very good insight into the world of photography.
Ther afternoon where for the practical stuff. Various venues had been organized where one could do some physical photography. These included Kassis Baai a fishing village which had been in existence for a couple of centuries. Another venue was a village called Elim which was founded by German immigrants in the late 19th century.

It was a great experience and was good to meet various people from around South Africa who all had a common interest.
