The Calitzdorp Trip

What a great few days, I was lucky enough to get a lift in a 2014 Jaguar which was brilliant, as I am still without a car. Gear box under repair.

The Cape Photographers Congress at Calitzdorp was very well organised along with some very interesting speakers, these include some professional photographers which were extremely interesting. As you know my slogan “You are never too old to stop learning” really came into play, so to speak and I learnt some very interesting ideas and ways to take a photograph.

The other thing I really enjoyed was meeting people that I had only previously met on Zoom meeting. It was great to actually have a chat face to face so to say.

In addition to the lectures there was some field trips and we managed to find some very good venues for landscape photography. I have included a selection in my ‘photos update’, which I hope you will enjoy.

My Guest House in Calitzdorp was the ‘Port Wine Guest House’ which was very good and I found the owners to be exceptionally helpful. So, if you ever decide to visit Calitzdorp this is a very good place to stay.

I am still without wheels as I write this blog, hopefully will get it sorted out this week, and I would like to give a big THANK YOU to the various people that have helped me during this time.

That’s about it for now, so as winter approaches, I wish you all well and stay warm
